The theme for this conference is CONFIDENCE! You might notice that the word “Confidence” is not specifically mentioned in the conference verse – Joshua 1:9 But rather, it is described. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go".
When we, as Christian women, have confidence - we feel an inner source of strength and we have courage to face meet our daily challenges with boldness. We are not afraid or discouraged. We know who we are and Whose we are. We know that God is with us and we feel honored to be who we were created to be. We are tethered to the Divine Source and our identity is in Him. We are made in His image and we reflect His glory.
It’s so easy to be made to feel like we’re not good enough. We are bombarded with unrealistic images of beauty all the time. We absorb the unkind words of the people around us. We beat ourselves up for the mistakes in our past and we are overwhelmed by our responsibilities. But when we take time to remember that we were lovingly made by the Creator and we are called to be His hands and feet in this world, and that we are deeply and passionately loved by Him, we can stand tall. We can tackle anything this world will throw our way. We can feel beautiful and we can move through our lives with confidence.
That’s what we’re doing here today. We’re taking time to remind ourselves of who we are in Him. So we challenge you to commit yourselves today to reconnecting with God and rediscovering your role as His child. Find your confidence in Him.

Cuando nosotras, como mujeres cristianas, tenemos confianza, sentimos una fuente interior de fortaleza. Tenemos el coraje de afrontar nuestros retos diarios con audacia. No tenemos miedo ni nos desanimamos. Sabemos quiénes somos y "de quién" somos. Sabemos que Dios está con nosotros y nos sentimos honrados de ser quienes fuimos creados para ser. Estamos atados a la Fuente y nuestra identidad está en Él. Estamos hechos a Su imagen y reflejamos Su gloria.
Es muy fácil que nos hagan sentir que no somos lo suficientemente buenos. Estamos bombardeados con ideales poco realistas de éxito y belleza todo el tiempo. Absorbemos las palabras desagradables de las personas que nos rodean. Nos castigamos por los errores de nuestro pasado y estamos abrumados por nuestras responsabilidades. Pero cuando nos tomamos el tiempo para recordar que fuimos creados con amor por el Creador y que estamos llamados a ser Sus manos y pies en este mundo, y que Él nos ama profunda y apasionadamente, podemos mantenernos firmes. Podemos abordar cualquier cosa que este mundo nos depare. Podemos sentirnos hermosas. y podemos movernos por nuestras vidas con confianza.
Eso es lo que estamos haciendo hoy aquí. Nos estamos tomando el tiempo para recordarnos quiénes somos en Él. Así que las desafiamos a comprometerse hoy a reconectarse con Dios y redescubrir su papel como su preciosa creación. Para encontrar tu confianza en Él.

Cassandra L. DeJesús is from Milwaukee, WI. Cassie married William in December 1994 and entered College for Officer Training 1996. Majors DeJesús were commissioned in 1998 and were appointed to the Chicago (La Villita) Corps. They were there for 5 years before being transferred to the Kansas & Western Missouri Division as Divisional Youth & Candidates Secretaries. After serving in KWM Division for 2 years, Cassie and Will, along with their two children Alejandro and Michael, were stationed in Argentina to serve as Missionaries for 5 years. Upon their return to the United States in 2010, Cassie served in the Program & Candidates Department as Assistant Territorial Candidates Secretary. In 2015, Majors DeJesús were then appointed to the Gateway Citadel corps in St. Louis for 4 years before transferring to Territorial Headquarters in 2019. Major Cassie is currently appointed to the Corps and Community Mission Department, with specific oversight in Corps Revitalization. Major Cassie has her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. Cassie’s hobbies include music, reading, watching movies, hanging out with the family, and baking.
